About
Beat and Melody trax is Jiri "Smix" Smika´s music project. It was founded in 1998, when Smix started to making music. I´m making tracks for fun and none of them were released on any label yet.
Main style was house, but Smix´s style goes from house and trance to techno. First "album" (if we can call it an "album", if none of trax hasn´t been ever released), was "Loading ..." (2000), which includes begineers trax. Album was presented on CD project called "Tracker CZ #3".
In summer 2001 Smix made two own "albums" - "The Edge between Trance & Techno" and "The Sounds from the Underground".
In 2002, Smix worked on harder sound and creates "Keep Smile System", which shows new groovy and melodic style of Smix´s music.
In 2003, Smix was asked by DJ Jordy (Cz), to remix his track "Jamora Nomba". Smix agreed and it can be downloaded from Jordy´s website.
This year Smix produced 4 trax with his cousin Hynek "Rita" Polak. It´s 4 of the best house trax, which Smix have ever made.
From those times (year 2003), Smix hasn´t enough time for producing, so he makes less and less trax/year ... But when he can, he works on new harder sound of his techno tracks.
Next album "I am not a hype" was created during years 2004 - 2006, and is including some well known Smix´s trax.
In 2007 after short period, when Smix´s main style was hardtechno/schranz, Smix changed his music feelings from harder sound to more melodic, dreams and electro. And it´s actual Smix´s style.
In 2008, Smix produced until today two EPs and finally a new album ...
